Did 201 Speedway open back up last night?

Thinking last night mighta been practice runs for a race on 4th of July weekend. 

I hadn't heard anything about them running this weekend.  Until some of my family was talking about anticipating an uptick of traffic for Saturday night. I asked why? They said they heard 201 was opening back up.

Pretty cool if they are opening back up. That was a pretty big thing at one time.

Now hearing whatever was scheduled for last night was canceled.

Looks like they're racing tonight. 

I don't Facebook or do any social media.  Got curious about 201 so I got on Miss Kongs Facebook and went to the 201 page. Supposed to be racing tonight. 

Mystery solved I guess

I was thinking about you when I made this post. Figured you might know something about the track reopening.  Tried to tag you in the post but haven't figured out how to do that yet lol

From what I heard there was a good turn out of racers and spectators.  Heard several was at the track waiting to get in well in advance before it opened. 

I seen a list of the drivers in each division.  I recognized a few names.  Most of my buddies that used to race there have moved away from the area.

I might have to try and check out a race there soon.

My uncle who drives crate late models knows the track owners and talked to them and the track record originally was 8,800 people many years back when the Lucas Oil series rolled into town. They said last night when we talked to them there was 10,000 and that was about 10 pm. So an insanely good night and I’m very happy to see. I grew up at the age starting at the age of 10 every Saturday. Lot of nostalgia rolling around out there for me.

That's awesome to hear that the track record was set last night! Glad that a lot of people is excited about it and coming out.

I just recently watched some races on YouTube from years back at 201. Some of those races might have even been broadcast on a racing network when they took place. 

Definitely got a good thing going at 201
