The Bulldogs return a lot of players on both sides of the ball. In the past two seasons, the Dawgs finished 8-4 and second round exits in the playoffs. What do the Bulldogs do this upcoming season? In my opinion, there won't be many more teams east of Lexington with more firepower than LC.

Without Belfry in the mix….IMO, Russell will be LC’s biggest challenger in the general area. The next two years will be the Bulldogs best opportunity to break thru beyond the 2nd round. While there is a lot of talent in the program….still not convinced the current staff can take them where they want to go.

Letcher moves into the district.. Lawrence will have good talent and should be fired up to see belfry move down!!

A very good Letcher Central program replaces Belfry. Be between them and Lawrence for district crown. Loser gets Bell County second round.

Maybe 4th if they play exceptionally well, will definitely be a pretty good team though and I’m excited to watch them.

Have to win their district to play at home in the 2nd round. That should be the overwhelming focus this year and everything else should be put to the side. It’s too hard to win on pine mountain or Mt Vernon, but if you bring one of those teams to Louisa in the 2nd round then you’ve got a decent shot to win the next 2 after that.

Schedule for next season?

I would bet if letcher is in their district they will win it. They almost beat belfry at belfry this year

Lots of chatter about potentially winning the district. Is that the goal from bulldog fans? Just feel like you aren’t asking for much.

lawrence has to really prove something this year imo.....a GREAT junior class but the program has not accomplished much over the last few years besides squashign cupcakes..... 2022 they upset belfry and squandered doing anything with it in the playoffs
luckily the belfry hump is gone so its time to get to a regional championship....... that road is likely going to run through a bell/rockcastle in the 2nd round and then a russell/bell or rockcastle/letcher in the third... rpi will be important...... now or never for the bulldogs but just because belfry is gone doesnt mean its a cakewalk you still need to make the third round and it's not going to be easy

To be able to go deer i believe the Dawgs should really look into adding a player or 2 on the line of scrimmage!!
They also are getting their main running back to return next year so that will be a good motivator coming into season this year!!
They lose 1 or 2 seniors and don't have much replacing them for the future!! It never now or never in the competition of football!! Lawrence county is just now starting to establish a solid feeder program and should look pretty good for yearsto come! Imo I see Bell being another tough game to win due to the size of their recievers. But that being said I see another tough team coming out of Cal again. They next goal is to win regional!!.

They have a few studs that should be hitting the Weight room this off-season. Couple really good players coming up from junior high that I'm sure will see some game time also!!

They need their star rb (Williams) back 100% and to improve their physicality if they're going to make a run.
I will say an offense with Fetherof (qb), Williams (rb), Johnson (wr/rb), Chicko (wr), and Derifield (wr/rb) could be one of the most explosive offenses east of Lexington.

They still need to establish a couple solid linemen!! This team deserves a great chance at success, and locking that down would really boost the chances

The keys for the LC program are always to win the district, first and foremost. They haven’t been able do that much with Belfry and all the credit goes to Pond Creek for their domination. Now you have Letcher Central who isn’t a pushover by any means. These two scrimmaged last year in Louisa and it was really good. IMO, like others have said, they need some depth on the lines, develop players, and they could have a special couple of seasons with state aspirations. They have the talent, now it’s up to them to work hard and go get it.
