Raceland vs. Sayre 12/6 (1A State Championship)
Could the fact that Sayre has never been close to a stage as big as Kroger hurt them? Raceland has gotten used to being there at the end of the year, but the Spartans have never stepped foot on the big boy field.
Good luck to the Raceland Rams tomorrow and all you posters headed to Lexington be safe and bring the hardware home

Raceland must convert yardage into points. All season they have been impressive with offensive yardage but it hasn't coorelated with point averages normally seen with those amounts. Ironically Sayre seems to be the opposite by maximizing their points when it comes to yardage.

I'm ready for the games and to see how they play out. Good luck to all the teams and safe travels to all the fans.

It’s that day again for all of Ramland. Most of us will head to Lexington in a short while and the usual gathering spot is Crackle Barrel in Morehead for breakfast. Hopefully the Rams can win today but even if they don’t it’s been a very successful year for these young rams. A lot of us had the Rams at 5-5 or even 4-6 this year. We’ve come a long ways from the beginning of the year and I don’t think you’ll find another Ram fan that would disagree with me saying this team has grown more in one season then any other Raceland team I’ve ever seen. Each week these kids have shown up on Monday with the mindset of getting better and their hard work has gotten them to Kroger yet again. I hope everyone has a safe trip and we all remember that to get s just another game. It’s about the journey and sometimes we forget about that along the way. It is and always will be a great day to be a RAM !!!

Enjoy I'm there in spirit while sitting at work in a training all day. Please post frequent score updates. Bring home the gold trophy. Winning today will mean so much for Raceland and Worthington.

Well said RD!! GO RAMS!!!!!
Not saying Sayre doesn't deserve to be there because they do, but IMO the fairy dust will run dry and Raceland will win big. I could eat crow this is just based on my experience with football. Obviously i am no expert. 35-7
I keep thinking the same thing about Sayre but they've stepped up the last two weeks and seem to have a different vibe this season. I noticed Sayre pretty much had the same strength of schedule as last year but none of the Raceland fans are crying about the RPI this year. Wonder why?
Game Day boyz.

Go Rams (I just threw up in my mouth a little)
Notre Dame Football…GO IRISH
Walking in a Pennington Wonderland! Woke up feeling like the Spartans were gonna shock the world today. Everyone’s waiting for them to break down and let their weakness of schedule show, but they have yet to do so. Excited for this one. Good luck to the players and safe travel for fans. I’ll be bundled up at Kroger, rooting for the offenses.

Well I think the only positive about your day is going to be the chicken fried steak at Cracker Barrel because the rams are gonna come up short on another opportunity at gold. They are truly the epitome of being the bridesmaid and never the bride.

I feel the same way.  The world thinks Pennington is gonna fold under pressure but his dad has worked with him for this moment. Big games run in the Pennington blood, heck his daddy played in some of best atmospheric games in sports. He'll be ready.

I believe that epitome belongs to Owensboro Catholic at 0-5. Good that both Raceland and Owensboro Catholic have a good shot at getting the elusive prize this year. Good luck to all!!

Looks like a great crowd for the 1A game!!

Keys to the game:
Can the Raceland defense adjust to all the different looks they'll see?
Will Raceland need to open up their offense, or will they try to early?
Sayre 7
Race 0
Burned up more than half of the 1st quarter

Td raceland!!!
Nice trick play to establish it

Raceland interception!!!
Smart move to kick the fieldgoal Raceland.
RRR
Td sayre. Nice passes to drive the field
Not sure why the Pf call

On that last drive. It didn’t make a difference but the call was strange. I think one official is super impressed with Coffman. He’s had two drops that he called catches. That being said, Sayre was impressive on that last drive of the half. First half analysis…Raceland is a better team, but The quick route offense of Sayre is tough the first time you see it. Made good adjustments on their second possession. Just gotta get some more stops.
This thread has aged beautifully
Congrats to Sayre definitely deserved it.
