They will dominate their district. I think gaming the RPI might be more prominent in Coach Haywood’s mind when he makes his schedule this off-season after having to travel 6 and a half hours for a game because of it. That might get him thinking that it would be much nicer for Mayfield/OC/Somerset to come to pond creek in round 4 instead of having to load up a cheese wagon to go out west again. Also, he will want to try to avoid a trip to Ft Thomas in round 3. That’s not a place where visitors win football games in the playoffs.

I look for them to dominate district. play in the regional finals. Their ceiling will be Semi finals. 2a will be the second deepest class behind 4a over the next 2 years

Their ceiling is the state championship game. 19/20 of the 22 starters return l. They must improve defensively for sure or you are correct that the semis are the ceiling.
With the projected schedule and with what other teams bring back and the personnel the Pirates return, they should be at least even money or a favorite in all their games.

With this weak of a district schedule, the worst loss the Pirates are going to have is when 6 of their starters transfer to Pikeville.

Belfry is going to have a very weak schedule this upcoming year, once it comes to playoff time it going to be difficult with teams like beechwood, lca, mayfield, and cov cath. Those teams will run through them like Derrick Henry.

Varneys ain’t going anywhere. Muncy who knows. He turned into a solid player for the Pirates in limited action.
The district schedule will be weak, but the projected non-district schedule will be a really good schedule with great RPI potential.
