Has Pikeville ever had a losing season?

They were 5-6 in 1997

Weird because they were 11-3 in 1996 and 10-3 in 1998......

Pikeville was 5-6 in 1997 with Coach Mayo as the head coach. The next season they were 10-3 with Coach Chapman as the head coach. I believe that is the only losing season Pikeville has had since the 1960s.

I don't know what their record was in 2001, but I am pretty sure 1997 was thier last season with a losing record.

2001 was not a losing season. I believe they went 6-5. I played on that team.

Appreciate the corrections fellas, I knew that it wasn't one of their better seasons in years past...they rebounded well and reclaimed their district crown in 2002.

Actually they were 6-5 after a first round playoff loss to Middlesboro...see this... scoreboard.12dt.com/scoreboard/khsaa/kyfb1?id=9469
