Prayers go out to Paintsville freshman, Lincoln Browning. He took a hard hit on a kickoff in this one and got up with the help of a teammate, but went back down and had to be taken off the field in an ambulance. Not heard any updates yet, but the Paintsville Football Facebook page is asking for prayers. Hate it for this young man and football team. I pray he's alright.

This Paintsville team has been hit VERY hard with injuries this season. Their QB and best football player, Alex Johnson gets hurt against Martin County and reportedly out of the season with a knee injury, then their 2nd best player, Anderson Lauffer moves to QB from receiver and is basically playing on 1 leg. Hate it for that team and coaching staff. I know the Paintsville folks have high standards, but when a few injuries can cost a 1A football team A LOT.

Hazard jumped out early and never looked back. They took advantage of Paintsville's weaknesses and just had their way. This one was a running clock late in the 2nd quarter.

Congrats Dawgs!

Ive checked around for updates, but haven’t seen any yet. He took a hard lick for sure, and from a very big young’n that was running at him full speed.

Can only pray for the young man that was hurt in the game. Hate to see any player get hurt.

Seeing unconfirmed reports of a possible broken neck and back for this young man. Prayers out to him, the family and team. Horrible, horrible sounding injury if some of the reports are accurate.

To update you all! He has a lumbar fracture and we are waiting a few more scans. If everything there is clear we go home and follow up with Royalty Monday.

Looks like he was sent home according to Facebook.

Mother said in a Facebook post that they’re following up Monday with Dr Royalty.

You are correct. She stated he had a fractured lumbar and a follow-up with Dr. Royalty on Monday. Seen pictures from some fellow Paintsville alumni of the young man attending the grade school games today, walking on his own with a back brace. Thank goodness.

On another note, if I were his parents,  I’d be taking him to UK Sports Medicine. Definitely would not be taking him to Royalty. Get him the best care.

Same here! I'm sure they still went to Royalty, but I'd still be going to UK to get a second opinion if they did see him.

Thoughts & prayers are with this young man!
