KSP posted on Facebook yesterday late afternoon that a body had been found in the area where the I-75 shootings happened in Laurel Co.
The post actually said that they had located the body, and it just got weirder from there.
Apparently, a couple that were hiking, and have been looking for the shooters body for the last week now, discovered a body and had it on their Youtube live stream.
Press Conference last night by authorities said they believe it is the body of the shooter, but will have to await official confirmation today, but more than likely will be him.
Here is my question/thought/opinion on the matter. Not trying to take away from all the work the authorities have done to search high & low for this guy, but I seen somewhere they had search nearly 30,000 acres of rough terrain in the Daniel Boone National Forest, a lot of ground to cover but clearly not all of it, and you're telling me two random people just stumble upon it? Just doesn't add up to me, what are everyone else's thoughts on this?
If it is indeed him, I'm glad all of this is over now for the folks down that way.

A guy and his girlfriend found the body on a "date night" that ended up lasting 6 days lol. So I'm sure it was a happy ending for him.

Absolutely unreal lol. Me and my wife were talking about it last night, how romantic does it get to go out on a weeklong date to search for a dead body.
Whatever you gotta do to keep the sparks flying!

You must have missed the part where there was about a dozen buzzards circling around in the sky, so they started searching in that area.
Yeah, the police apparently missed that part too. My question is, since the area where he was found wasn’t far from where he actually did the shooting, is how did the cops cadaver dogs not pick up on it? I know they brought them in, surely they would have hit if they had been released in that area. Just a bizarre story.

Actually, the dozen buzzards were noticed a couple of days ago. When they started searching, it was 50 turkey vultures in the area, and they could see the pieces of meat in their mouths when they flew up. I got the impression that they were hillbillies, and that is NOT a criticism! The man hunted the area, so he was well aware of the terrain, etc. It is strange though, that the searchers and dogs missed this body. It wasn't very far from where he did the shooting. It is very possible that he took his own life within a couple of hours from doing that shooting.
I'm thinking of all the times this guy was seen on trail cams, and reported here and there. Lots of stories floated around. It just goes to show you that the truthful story is difficult to follow until all the facts are in. I'm grateful for all the work the first responders put in over the past 12 days.

No I seen that, but like @Granny Bear said, those were noticed a few days prior to body being found.
But regardless, I'm glad the body was found and all this is over with.
