Belfry running the air raid tonight lol Belfry was very good on offense and bad on defense. Awful tackling. JC had a chance to go up 3 scores and fumble going into the end zone. Belfry recovers, scores, gets the onside and has the XP blocked to take lead. JC goes down the field in less than 2 minutes to regain the lead. If Belfry can just keep teams under 30 points the offense is good enough to win. What’s fun to think is all those playmakers on offense arn’t seniors.

Belfry with a passing attack is like seeing Bigfoot riding a ufo it’s a myth.. They now have the ability to line up in the flex or sling it all over the field. Would love to know how many yards they had passing.

JC did what JC does. Lined up in the wishbone and imposed their will.

Just a great all around game by two of the best in the mountains.

Belfry's passing game (Varney) has been what makes defenses second guess the run run run plays of Belfry's "old" days.

Congratulations to JC. They were the most consistent team tonight. Offensively, Belfry got better. Passing game was very effective.

Defensively….Belfry just can’t tackle. Its woeful. Plain and simple truth. Also….Belfry is lacking the attacking playmakers on the edge that can run the alley and play force defense on the perimeter.

Special teams once again dooms the Pirates. Short fields, poor tackling, poor spacing, fumbles, blocked extra point, etc etc

Belfry is a lot like that ol’ Jerry Reed song…” a long way to go, and a short time to get there”

Nothing but respect for JC offense. One thing Belfry fans can respect and enjoy is an offense that can line up and run it down your throat. JC was death by a thousand cuts, completely out manned Belfry’s defense. Wore them down and just kept wearing them down. Exactly the same type of philosophy Belfry has. Nothing but respect for JC. Pulling for them the rest of the year.

Max Dotson and one of the Hensley boys are the only real main contributors I can think of off the top of my head who are seniors.

Colton Whitt snapped his fibula and will probably have to have surgery on it from what I’m hearing, I saw it when I was there and it looked bad, shin down to his foot was rolling from side to side. It’s a shame, he’s a heck of a player and an even better person. Please pray for him. He’s not doing to well right now.

An Instant classic in Paintsville tonight. JC’s offense was able to move the ball all night. Zach McCoart looked like he was starting to shake the rust off and play like his old self. Austin Slone made some huge plays at QB.

I never thought I would write this sentence about Belfry but their passing attack was great. They threw for over 350 yards and had some very clutch throws.

From a JC perspective it was good to see the offense so dominant. But the defense has to get sorted out. Really concerning that the Belfry QB had a clean pocket most of the night. Little pressure, bad angles, and poor tackling made for some huge Belfry plays. Very concerning for matchups with Corbin, Ashland, and even Boyd County.

Very, very entertaining game.  Big plays, momentum changes, it really had a little of everything, and aside from the injury to Colton Whitt the fans were enjoying every aspect of the game in Johnsonville tonight.  I’m certain fans on both sides have him in their prayers, as my family and I do.  He’s a great kid, praying for a speedy recovery.   

Offenses for both teams looked great tonight and Belfry looked better passing the ball than they did running for the better part of the night.  I can’t remember a time we had more 3rd and long conversions.  This team is built a little different than typical Belfry teams for a lot of reasons, mostly from lack of depth, but it’s good to see the staff adjusting. 

One other note…neither team looked capable of tackling a Methadonian thief running from a local Double Kwik.  Lots of head down, dead legs and no wrapping up on both sides.

Belfry has the Offensive weapons to make a deep playoff run.

Belfry’s inability to tackle or even make a play on defense is enough they could be home in Round 2.

Special Teams are atrocious.

Pirates now in a tight spot after letting two close losses sliP out their hands. Need to win their remaining No -District games for the RPI points or this team will be behind the 8-ball again in November.

I was really impressed with Belfry’s QB and skill players especially against Central’s bend and don’t cover defense. Was thankful that WYMT broadcasted last nights game. It was good to see two games on a Friday night. Overall was a great game especially if you like offense.

Wow what a game!!!! Young Varney might have opened some eyes. No longer can you expect nothing but run from us!!! Kid has some serious potential. I’ve never seen a Belfry QB sling it for nearly 400 yards. Great balanced attack.

Some of you might not care but I still feel the need to put this out there, the lineman that belfry lost had a broke fibula in half and a dislocated tibia down to the ankle. So out for the season more than likely. Colton was a great lineman and always been a good kid, please pray for this kid as he will probably have to go back to surgery and come back for his senior year.
