I'm going Lawrence county, but to be honest they don't need to go to Perry expecting a beat down.
Do not take the team lightly and they can go and clean house. Just play with high momentum and execute your plays!!! Fetherolf was shining in last game, make it happen again boys!!!
Lc 28
Perry 14

Yea. Go re watch the game and tell me your thoughts. First 2 drive were touchdowns were called back against Perry.  Game would have been way different.   But ok

Perry coming off a whopping of Breathitt and the Bulldogs are coming in 2-0. This game will tell us more about each team. I think if the Bulldogs take care of the football and execute then they win by 2-3 touchdowns.

I won’t be around for this one but I’ll make sure to check in and see how things are going.

The Perry/Lawrence game last year was hard for me to really wrap my head around. Lawrence got shut out by Shelby Valley the week before and then they whipped Perry, but Perry lost a heart breaker in the last minute to Bell (3A runner up) the next week and then hung 58 on Shelby Valley for a win. Just felt like that game was a lot more winnable than it played out on the field. That happens with every team and I’m sure the Lawrence/Valley game was the same story.

Perry’s offense played well against Breathitt but I’m interested to see how things play out against the Bulldogs this weekend.

And in that game between LC and SV last year there were many, many mistakes and bad snaps that resulted in loss of yards and many punts. LC had several guys trying out center that game and none of it was working and they still were in the game throughout.

Like I said, I think Perry underperformed against Lawrence County last year. Gave up a lot of yards to the outside dealing with the option and didn’t move the ball like they needed to.

I just assumed from watching both Lawrence County and Shelby Valley that Lawrence underperformed when those two played early in the season. That looks to be the case from your comment.

I think this is a must win game for Perry this season. If they lose the to LC I think it will be a big disappointment. Perry is a huge 4A team and LC is just a small 2A basketball school.

Pulling for Lawrence Co.

Lc is really fast and really athletic this year. They have some dogs on the defensive line also. I'm hoping LC wins by 60 but in my honest opinion I see a closer game than expected! Lawrence's first big road game, so we shall see how they match up tomorrow night. Hoping all players stay healthy and safe travels to Perry County

If you would have said "baseball school" I might have thought you were serious.

Very valid statement. Lawerence is very good in baseball. I always have felt they loved basketball more than anything there, kind of like Perry County does its basketball. No other sports really matter.

In boys' sports, basketball is a distant third to football and baseball, especially in the community.  I doubt you could find anybody in LC, up to and including the head basketball coach, who thinks LC is a basketball school.

LC offense was the reason they lost most of their games last year and why most games were close, and if LC is serious about knocking off Belfry, that offense has to prove to be in improved. SV is down and Rowan has never been up so im wiping those games out. Put up 40 plus in this game and I think LC has the right to say they deserve to be in the convo with the pirates. If this is a 21-14 game, then I might have to throw out the dogs.

There a certain few that love basketball here and very few that love baseball. Although our baseball is second to none when it comes to our intensity I'd like to say most to all the fans would like to see Football bounce back to where it was in the 90s and early 2000s. For the last 20 years our athletic department has mostly been ran by the baseball coach. But now it's ran by our basketball coach I do believe, he's a good one tho. Focuses on every single sport in our county!! "Not just 1"
So i could say the athletic departments main focus has been baseball and basketball yes. BUT if your going by the fans, and our coaches we all want to see football be state competitive.
We have a football coach now that's lining things up, to be competitive to where we was back in the day. From new facilities to new coaches to all ages from flag football to highschool level is doing the same thing, running the same playbook. Pushing kids to excel In every sport in the youth leagues
Establishing a foundation that's Second to none in football of what we had in the mid 2000s

That's a good way of looking at things.

I think LC beats Perry pretty bad if Perry can’t keep the running game and the sticks moving and keeping the ball out of LC hands
