Open Job: Bourbon County.

10th Region Bourbon Co. is once again looking for a new coach as Derek Robinson has stepped down after just 2 seasons in which he was 24-35.

Not sure what kind of pool they will get this late in the game.

I agree 100%.

Do they have someone internal they’d look at or is there anyone outside they could go for?

From the outside looking in I would say they had Chez Marks who was a stud player from Paris on staff last year. Derrick Robinson who was at Menifee was on staff a few years ago and might be interested. John Michael Reitz is from CKY and might have some interest in returning to the 10th Region. Tim Glenn is from Georgetown and just left Scott County. Short drive if he still wants to coach.

Bourbon lost some kids for upcoming year. A big hit for them. I don’t know if it’s true but have heard things about people up there pulling strings for their kids for years getting anyone better out of the way. Not sure what happened here but maybe the coach was sick of kissing butt and pissing everyone off to make one family happy. People closer to the program will know if there is anything to this. Sure some from this family will chime in too. Whoever they want I imagine is getting hired.

Allen Martin, former Powell coach, is the rumored hire but not officially announced yet.

I guess they have some transfer kids that came in. The local kids weren’t showing up but parents not happy about transfer kids. They have some ones to watch out for there. Good luck to coach Martin.
