Lone Oaks QB in Sports Illustrated
#1
Lone Oaks QB, Corey Robinson, was the center picture in the 'Faces in the Crowd' section of the December 17, 2007 issue of Sports Illustrated. For those of you who dont have a SI here is what the caption said:

Corey Robinson
Paducah, KY >Football

Corey, a senior quaterback at Lone Oak High, threw a nation-record 91 touchdowns this season. His completion percentage (73.7%) and passing yards (5,872) are second alltime. He threw only four interceptions and led the Purple Flash to its first ever Sate final.

Congratz to Corey for a record setting season.

This is awesome. This is the second person from Kentucky, that I know of, that has been in SI. The other one was the running bak from Beechwood a couple years back. And congrats t Corey on an awesome and amazing year. I hope your future is bright. Good luck!!

Well I know of 2 more that have been in S.I. and well, on the cover of S.I.! And both of them were QB's. They ran an article on Tim Couch when he was at Leslie County, and Brohm was on the cover like 5 years ago while still in high school! This is great news for this young man! Congrats Corey and best of luck in the future!
