North escapes Manchester with their third 49th district title in four years. North improves to 22-2 on the season while Clay falls to 14-7. Clay won the 2017 District title at Manchester by this same 63-61 score. On to the Arena in Corbin for both the Jags and Tigers. Good luck to both teams. It looks to be a very wide open regional tourney.
Think about this - three of the four district losers are going to be Corbin, Clay , and either Harlan or Harlan Co. I don't envy any district winner that draws any of those teams. A district loser has a very legitimate chance of winning the whole thing.
