Any thoughts about the Raceland -Fairview game????
Romans 14:11
It is written: " 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' "

I'd like to see Fairview pull out the win here.Seems Coach Cooksey has them on the right track.Go Eagles

I would love to see that cause thats where i use to go to school at,, and I think they will if Fairview can get the passing game going than mix it up withteh run,,,But Fairview will be playing this game without two D starts,, They got tossed out of last Fridays game for fighting,,, but i still think Farivew will pull it out by a TD

No, it sounds like to teenagers lost the tempers for a moment. Thats all. That is a slap in the face to a good coaching staff at Fairview.

FBALL Wrote:No, it sounds like to teenagers lost the tempers for a moment. Thats all. That is a slap in the face to a good coaching staff at Fairview.Dead wrong Fball. Not a slap to anyones face. I know and respect Nathan and Gary. Cooksey, I could care less about don't know a thing about him.
But 2 Kids losing their tempers and getting tossed out of a game for fighting shows a lack of discipline, unless the Referees were over-reacting.
I wasn't there so all I'm saying is, "it sounds to me like a lack of discipline". Key words being, "Sounds to me". Not to mention it's bad sportsmanship, and I doubt anyone will disagree with that.
When college players clear the bench everyone's up in arms against them, Miami is a good example. They get a bad rep and get accused of being a bunch of thugs. But if a High school kid does it we're supposed to just sweep it under the rug and say oh kids will be kids.
Kids will be kids, but those kids will grow up to be men with no self discipline.

I'll take Fairview in this matchup.

With the 2 starters out at Raceland... and them being the starting running backs and with the recent Fairview games. I think that fairveiw wins by 1-3 points..

Well they didn't start it oneof Fairviews kid was down on the ground and the other one kid from the other team kick him so they Fairview kids reacted to that,, and take it as if it was you laying there don't you think one of your team mates would do something about it ?

I'm not defending fighting but think about if you have ever lost your temper or not. We all have. Was it bad judgement? Yes. Does it mean there is a lack of discipline? No.

Also "sounds to me" or "sounds like" is still accusatory. You weren't there and neither was I. I would not imply something that I didn't know the facts about.

Look here guys, I am not at all implying that the coaching staff is to blame for any unsportsmanlike activities. I'm sure these were isolated incidents and they do not in anyway reflect the character of the coaching staff at Fairview. In fact I was glad to hear that Nathan and Gary were given the opportunity to go to Fairview and improve their program. They are great coaches and individuals which I've known for more than 20 years on a personal level.
If what I said has offended anyone I appologize.
With that said I agree that yes kids lose their tempers on the field and things happen, but that doesn't make it ok, under any circumstances. That's why there are penalties assesed for that type of behavior.
If you still think that I took a cheapshot at the Fairview coaching staff that's fine with me but you would be incorrect with that conclusion.

I like both schools but seeing as how Colt Phelps transferred to Fairview from Lawrence Co. a couple of years ago, AND a couple of cousins on the team, I will take Fairview by 12 points.
