Should be a good game! Give me Crittenden 20-14

This game could have big implications in the RPI race

I’ve seen some Tweets that Hancock has decided to play Larue County?

So Crittenden looking for a dancing partner this Friday I guess...

What a shame. Word in Rocketland is that Hancock County took the Crittenden County Game and exchanged film late last week. They called Crittenden on Friday and said they aren't playing.

Hancock County picked up... Larue County. Just a little closer drive. But the rockets were willing to go to Hawesville.... Looks like the Hornets are trying to play the "rpi game" with their schedule. Instead of playing one of the best 1a teams they play a middle of the road 3a team that will be easier to beat than Crittenden and will "help" their artificially inflated RPI.

That's the problem with covid scheduling mess. Teams are using covid as an excuse to change their schedule to protect this ridiculous RPI crap. what a joke.

Credit to Sean Thompson and the rockets. They aren't scared to play "anytime/anywhere". Can't say the same about the Hornets.

Oh wow. Crittenden has replaced Hancock County with Henderson County.

Hancock runs from the rockets.  The rockets go find a 6a opponent.  Good for them.

So sad, Carma will get them though

My guess is they saw the film and realized they’d have a dogfight on their hands. I don’t look for Crittenden to beat Henderson, but hopefully they can give them a game. I’m sure they lack Hendo’s depth. I wish Crittenden’s Star RB was healthy for this week.

I’m not gonna lie. That Hancock move doesn’t set well with me. That could’ve been a good test for both teams. Instead Crittenden is putting themselves at a bigger risk playing one of the bigger schools in KY. What a bunch a cowards over in Hawesville.

They are behind Mayfield in the RPI but realizing Mayfield has a very poor RPI Madisonville this week and Winless 1A Fulton the next week so they did the math as I did and realized this gives them a chance to move ahead of Mayfield and make Mayfield travel instead of them should both make it that far. Really a classless move by Hancock

If I am not mistaken, they cancelled Caldwell game last week to save RPI

Man....that Hancock coach is setting a good example lol. Nothing says I’m confident in my team like running from equal sized or smaller schools that will prepare my kids for the playoffs. Crittenden’s coach said it best in his coaches show on YouTube. It’s about giving the kids an opportunity to play this year and that doesn’t mean seeking out easy wins. If the Rockets can come out of this game healthy, this will payoff once they get to the regionals.

Hancock's coach is bad but Logan Co. coach is worse. He's not gonna play a district game next week against Madisonville because he's afraid he will lose the #1 seed. By not playing it is costing Madisonville a shot at the playoffs. Couple of cowards.

Not winless Cardinal, but not to far from from winless.  LOL!  Tough year for the Pilots, but they have been competitive in every game but Crittendon; which they played without two weeks of practice due to Covid.  Not an excuse for the score or outcome (as it may have been the same);  but definitely did not help as game day was the first day they could practice after quarantine, and it showed.

Mayfield Cardinal,  looking at the RPI looks like the top 8 teams will be in the race for the #2 RPI.  I think Lexington Christian has #1 locked up.  Should be interesting to watch.  But if Fulton County can pull out a win against Russellville, would help you some.  But that may be a tall order for the Pilots, just depends on what team shows up.

Crittenden laid the blueprint for beating Russellville. Get to the 2nd level of the D up the gut and you can run for days on O. On D, hit their guys every chance you get and keep hitting them. Watch the film, in the 2nd quarter you can see several of Russellville’s guys walking to the sideline with their heads down. It got to a point where Russellville’s players were sliding like NFL QBs to not get hit.
