Final from the 5th Region Tournament. Congratulations to coach James "Boo" Brewer and the Bardstown Tigers. Phenomenal game by JJ Traynor, who had 28 points, and some clutch play by Javaughn Smith led the way for the Tigers, who never trailed in this one.

Never count out a team with a kid going to Louisville or Kentucky unless other schools in the region also have some D1 talent. I listened to the second half and it sounded as if Traynor controlled the game on both ends. Bardstown jumped out big and did enough to hold on but there were points where I felt John Hardin was going to take over. It seemed like the Bulldogs could never get over the hump after digging themselves into a hole with a first quarter where they were outscored 15-6.
