Consolidation has taking away a lot of community support older people don't embrace their schools like they one time did.Hard to beat old die hard fans.

Very true. Also attendances are dwindling. I think where we have so many more sports (especially in winter) people just aren’t getting out anymore. This is happening at Pikeville which isn’t even consolidated. We also have seen a dip in talent, 15th and 16th regions just aren’t as competitive as they once where but I think the stars are gonna align in the next few years.

Consolidation has nothing to do with it. Parents dont support their kids anymore as a whole. Not just in sports, in anything. Many kids dont know who they are going home with night in and night out anymore. Its sad.

Consolidation hurts athletic support until the school reaches second generation athletes. IMO
