IU football coach Terry Hoeppner died this morning from complications from a brain tumor. He was going to sit out this season to focus more on his health and had hoped to make a comeback in 2008. The Hoosiers were coming off one of their better seasons in recent years including a huge win over then #13 Iowa. Prayers for the family and team.

That is very sad to hear. My prayers go out to the coaching staff, the players, and most of all his family.

I became a really big fan of his when i watched an all-access piece on IU. I really liked the attitude he had and it sad that he didnt get any more of a chance to lead IU in the right direction.

Tragic, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and IU. He was making IU football into a Big 10 power, just needed more time. Sad news.
