The most anticipated first round match-up of the Region 2 tournament.

These two teams went to overtime earlier in the year. At that point Christian County had a couple of players out due to injuries/discipline issues. Christian County has played the tougher schedule but has had major issues scoring.

I suspect the Colonels and Kerry Stoval will press-press-press all night long and try to force the Maroons into turnovers and create easy baskets for themselves.

Christian County does have a solid front line in Freshman Olojuwan White and senior Fred Tandy. They also have two solid veteran Guards in Brody and Mathis.

If the Maroons can handle Christian County's pressure they probably win by 8 or 10. But if Christian County is allowed to play physical and can turn Madisonville over they can win.

The referees will play a big role in this one. If they let it become a brawl? Advantage Christian County. If they call it tight? Advantage Madisonville.

My prediction? Madisonville 60 - Christian County 57.
