A University of Kentucky football recruit
appeared in court on Friday after being arrested on burglary
charges earlier in the week.
Covington police said Duran Jefferson, 19, was one of three who
broke into a house on Monday and stole several guns, including a
12-gauge shotgun and three .22-caliber rifles, the Cincinnati
Enquirer reported on its web site. Jefferson was charged with
first-degree burglary, a felony punishable by 10 to 20 years in
prison.

Didnt he play for a High School in Kentucky? Because that name sounds so famaliar.

I knew I had heard that name from somewheres, I think that he played for Covington Holmes at the Sweet 16 thats where I heard it at. Its a shame though that he had to do what he did and basically ruin his life.

Yes he played for Covington Holmes in football and basketball. I saw him play in the Cumberland Valley Bowl this past football season when Holmes played South Laurel. He was injured in the second half of the game but from what I could see he was a heck of an athlete. I would love to know what he was thinking when he pulled that stunt. :confused:

The person he stole the guns from was either an assistant coach or a substitute teacher, I forget which one.
