That’s exactly what it was. Time to get ready for “ Jr Rainey “ and South

Well, mission accomplished. Lol.

In all seriousness, Clay showed that if they get shot out of that zone and have to go man, they're in big trouble. Corbin also rebounded really well. I'd say Corbin out rebounded Clay for the game.

Any confederate flags in the Corbin crowd

White flags/towels waving in the Clay County fan section, I think a few of us Whitley fans left them there last night for the tiger fans to use if needed.

Tony can take his and beat you or he can take yours and beat you......pretty simple he is the best coach in the region. Now the serious question is why has he never tried to step out of his comfort zone and go to a real program??? He is certainly good enough but has never taken the leap. Sure he is coaching at his alma mater, but a coach of his caliber generally is driven by more than that.

Congratulations Corbin in win tonight :Cheerlead

Begley does a lot more for Clay than he gets credit for. Tigers need to get Curry healthy as well. I’m not sure about scheduling Corbin and South 48 hours apart.

Man-to-man teams can go to zone when they need to. Zone teams usually can’t go man-to-man. To play good man-to-man you have to be committed to it and play it day in and day out.

Always wondered the same thing about him and Dinky Phipps.

Are there any “real programs” close to their homes? None that I know of. I think they both love the communities that they live in and being close to family.

Clay will not can not play south man

Nice win for Corbin!

Suffering a loss could be a good thing for this young team..keep them grounded and working hard..can’t wait to see what that group of young men do in a couple years!

First off...Hats off to Corbin on their big win. They played with a chip on their shoulder and simply wanted it more than Clay did last night. Hounds shot the ball very well and Clay didn't. Injuries, foul trouble, poor shot selection plagued the Tigers. Adversity reveals character! Are you willing to do the necessary things to win? I hope the Tigers learn from their mistakes and make necessary adjustments to get back on track. If not...South will pistol whip them in front of their home crowd.

I think I picked Corbin to beat the lowly overrated TigersConfusednicker:

Anybody that can (sorta) quote a line from the great Sean Connery in the Untouchables and tie it to Clay Co. basketball is a-ok with me!👍👍Nice.

Very well said. Often times a zone defense becomes a crutch that teams rely on instead of forcing kids to learn how to strain and play man to man.
