SV has played a very weak schedule. Leslie would have 5-6 wins playing those teams.

District Championship @ Leslie County. Home field advantage play a big part in this game as they are a big crowd expected with a playoff atmosphere. Going to be a fun exciting close game!

Shelby valley hasn't really played anybody of note, but I've got to see both teams play. And Shelby valley is much more physical than leslie. I'd say the score will be 35-14 valley.

Shelby Valley has definitely played a fairly weak schedule. Their record of 6-1 doesn't really give any indication of how good they really are. That said, SV and Leslie have played 2 common opponents:

Valley vs Betsy Layne 50-0 (road)
vs Prestonsburg 49-0 (road)

Leslie vs Betsy Layne 46-16 (road)
vs Prestonsburg 30-14 (home)

I think that comparing these two opponents indicates that SV is probably the better team. However, funny things tend to happen over at Hyden. This may very well go down to the very end, but I'll say...

Well first off, Shelby Valley also subbed in their backups during the second half of both the Betsy Layne and PBurg games. The last couple scores in these games were made by a freshman RB.

But yes, I do agree that there is essentially no benefit in comparing the two Betsy Layne games. Once you get to blowout territory, there's really no difference between a 30-point win and a 50-point win.

But the results of the PBurg games do seem to favor Valley. Posting a 49-point shutout at Prestonsburg is much more impressive than Leslie's 2-touchdown win on their home field.

Still, being at home has to mean something here. Leslie has always been tough to beat at Hyden, so I think SV wins but in a close one.
