8. Phelps (6-3) - Big district win over Pike Central to start off a week that ended with the school's first ever win over Pikeville !! A team that is building confidence. Interested in how they against Paintsville in the All A opening round.
7. Paintsville (3-4) - Coach Napier's team had a tough week. Tough loss to rival Johnson Central in extra innings. One team that is glad that week # 3 is over.
6. Magoffin County (5-7) (1-5) this past week. Extra inning lost to Pikeville was a tough one. Michaela Howard one of area's strongest hitters !!
5. Johnson Central ( ) Talented team that just has not put it together yet, after a trip to Florida this group has played sluggish as of late. Lost to two of the 59th...Shelby Valley & EAst Ridge on opening nite of Lyndell Potter tournament.
4. Pikeville - (8-6) Coach Cole's girls bounced back from the Phelps loss to beat Magoffin County for the third time of the season. Defeated Painstville in opening game.
3. East Ridge (5-4) Lady Warrior's go 3-1 and here's a team to watch. Solid up the middle and pitching is improving.
2. Lawrence County (8-6) strength of schedule and player's returning if the pitching is as good as they say, could be one of the teams to beat come tournament time.
1. Shelby Valley (5-1) Lost tonight to Haysi, Va. for first loss. Took advantage of some Johnson Central mistakes and used aggresive base running in 8-4 win in Pikeville's tournament.

Looks good to me. I have to agree that ER's little pitcher (Conley) is really improving with each game and hitting is also coming around. Keep up the good work lady warriors.
