Looks like a great weekend of baseball! Good Luck Tigers!

Letcher Central is 7-1 now with JV 8-0.
(Bright future for the Cougars.)
How will the Cougers do against Allen Central?
I haven't seen AC this year.

Should beat them, LCC is much better fundamentally.

Good Luck TIGERS!!!!

The 8:30 game has been changed for THURSDAY. it is now LOUISVILLE BUTLER VS JOHNSON CENTRAL

Glad to see Johnson Central play in Paintsville's tourney. Maybe Paintsville in up-coming years can get involved in Johnson Central's. Both teams bring in quality opponents and neither would have to travel 45 minutes to play quality games.

That was the whole grand idea of "The City Between the Lakes" Tournament but they done away with it. JC has the Broughton's and Paintsville has their Tiger Classic annually. Neither play in each others.

I remember the City Between the Lakes tournament, but maybe by JC filling in for Perry Central maybe we can have one another playing in each others tournament.

It was very gracious of JCHS to cancell their game at Shelby Valley and play against Butler!! BTW, JC won 5-2 Fyffe pitched a gem for 6 innings and Blanton did nicely getting the save!
Butler made way to many errors!!!

Yeah maybe so, I was like the idea of having a joint tournament with both of the schools involved. You got to see a lot of baseball as well as get the opportunity to see both of the home town teams play in the same weekend. Actually they were filling in for Ironton, OH. Ironton was schedule to play Paintsville but since JC and Paintsville would have been a district game they swapped. I guess since JC had faced Perry Central already they wanted to play a new opponent in Butler. Congrats to the Eagles, keep on rolling except against the Tigers.

I understand that Shelby Valley is the one who cancelled.

Looked like AC gave LCC all they wanted tonight.

JC has a nice team

I'd say JC has a team much better than "nice." They seem to be fundamentally sound, have some solid pitching, and are hitting the ball well. They seem to be one of the front runners in the Region along with Paintsville. They have defeated 2 of the states top teams and will only get better as the season goes along.

They are still playing well despite having to play around and through injuries to Blanton, Smith and now Stacy. I said in the preseason that JC had the top 2 pitchers in the region, and now I am more convinced than ever. Fyffe has absolutely dominated and blown the ball by everybody and Blanton now has recorded 25 K's in 10 innings against some of the states top teams. Mike Conley, Jeremy Stacy, and Nick Vance have all pitched very well on top of that. JC just needs to get everyone 100% healthy for a big run when it counts.
