Kansas State basketball fans have no need to worry anymore.
Michael Beasley is in fact coming to the rescue.
According to the Kansas City Star, Beasley, the McDonald's All-American and top recruit, will honor the letter-of-intent he signed with the school in November, his mother Fatima Smith said Saturday.
The key, according to Smith, was Dalonte Hill.
Hill, who coached Beasley in AAU basketball, was an assistant under coach Bob Huggins with the Wildcats. Huggins left Thursday to become the new coach at West Virginia, causing concern that Huggins' departure might make Beasley, a 6-foot-9 power forward, change his mind. On Friday, Kansas State named assistant Frank Martin as head coach and Hill was promoted to associate head coach.
