If you take Donovan at his word, you must believe this too - "The job was never offered to me."

Barnhart, imo, never wanted Donovan to begin with. He wanted the fans to get off his back and at least act like he was trying to get Donovan. Now, that he has UK fans approval, he will take the person he has wanted all along. Don't be surprised if that person isn't Tom Crean. His name has been around from the get go and reports say he and Barnhart have a good friendship. Watch out folks, another "wonderful" coach is about to burn UK into the ground. :mad:

Billy Donovan, three days removed from leading Florida to a second consecutive national championship, will announce later Thursday that he will remain the Gators' coach and not make himself available to interview for the opening at SEC rival Kentucky.


Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that Donovan met Thursday morning with Florida athletics director Jeremy Foley in Gainesville, Fla. The decision was made at that time that Donovan would stay on as coach.

What bugs me is if he knew he was going to stay at UF. Why didnt he just sign the contract extension before the tournament started and be done with it? He couldve kept a whole lot of pressure off himself by just saying he was happy in Florida instead of hinting around that he might come to UK. The truth is Billy D. used the UK job as a way to get more money out of Florida. Now I hope we get either Rick Barnes or the guy from the Suns.
