Well. The Wolves smelled blood tonight but it looks like they came up a little short.
Congrats to Coach Noble.

Poor officiating. Sorry. This championship win comes with a BIG asterisk in my book. If evenly called, Wolfe by 15+.

Wolves just didn't play well tonight. Had a couple of chances to put Breathitt away and didn't do it. And it cost them in the end. Just a really bad shooting night for them at a really bad time.

Big win for the Bobcats..thought Wolfe was gonna pull it out there at the end..missed free throws hurt..anything can happen at tournament time..Wolfe had a 30 point victory against BHS in late Jan..just goes to show you donât ever know..so many factors in a ballgame..man I love this game!!

It just goes to show you refs have impact. One would be blind to think that was even remotely fair. I talked to a ref who has officiated for 20+ years and he said it was officiated poorly. KHSAA should review this game. If the game and been called in reverse Wolfe wins by 20-25+. No doubt, just facts. Love it when young athletes get cheated. Makes KHSAA look real good.

The officials were from Knott County.

Always the officials fault. I saw several calls on both teams that could have went either way. With calls like that, there will be upset fans either way. Free throws killed Wolfe and they didnât get the open 3 like they wanted. To sit back and say the refs played a role in this outcome is absurd.

Maybe just used to getting the whistle a lot at home in Campton. Iâve heard that happens a lot there.

Wolfe beat Breathitt by 30 at Breathitt earlier this season. Wolfe didnât hit shots they hit most games and that cost them. Breathitt got several calls in the 3rd quarter after basically no fouls being called on either team in the 1st half. Wolfe went on a run and Thacker called 5 fouls in Wolfe in the 3rd quarter to get breathitt in the bonus early. With that being said Wolfe should have still won the game if they hit their FTâs and a outside shot or 2 like they usually do. Breathitt played good enough to win and thatâs all that matters. If they played 10 times Wolfe would probably win 8 but Breathitt won the 1 that matters so congrats to them.

I see I'm going to have to dissect this for you. In the game, there were 7 block-charges called. 6 went in favor of Breathitt. Wolfe got 1. With Wolfe's the shot was missed so it did not impact the score... Of Breathitt's at least 5, maybe 6, came on made baskets + additional free throws in certain instances. So, on just these seven calls, the refs decided a minimum of 10 points + foul trouble + 5 free throws and they all went to Breathitt County. Be objective. Be radical. Make sense. The forgot the momentum Wolfe lost, the foul trouble they collected, just look at the points. It could have been all six that resulted in the basket and the free-throws, I just remember those 5 for certain though. But, let's say those six calls had 15 points on the line, could have been 18, but 15, 10 from the made shots and 5 from the possible free-throws, Breathitt go all 10 points and the 5 free-throws. That's 15 points. Wolfe lost by 3. And do you think that maybe, just maybe, if Jacob King was able to play in the second half instead of sitting with foul trouble, Wolfe maybe plays better?? UH, YES! You, people, say, oh but Park, Wolfe County is no good at taking charges. They've taken 48 on the season. Shawn Lindon is #1 in the state for charges drawn on both a total and per game basis with 32. Jacob king drew 11. So, they are pretty good. And I thought the majority of them should have gone in favor of Wolfe. By the way, my case is built on facts. 6-1 block-charges in favor of Breathitt. Fact. 15 points or more decided, fact, all went to Breathitt fact. Wolfe has the best block-charge player in the state, fact. Now I just showed you 7 calls, really 6 that completely changed the game. 15 points in the air, 10 guaranteed, all went to Breathitt County, Wolfe lost by 3. Not to mention the rest of the game. So, do not even for a second give me the to say the refs played a role is absurd, bruh get real. Be objective. Be real.
