A Freshman team can be undefeated. But as Seniors will they? I remember a Freshman team beating our team. But as Seniors. Both teams same players. We destroyed them. So you can not base a JV team or Freshman team to tell your future.

If freshman team is good because they have a bunch of old 15 year olds that are turning 16 soon then no. Those things seems to balance out alot when kids reach 17-18. If a freshman team actually has talent then probably same outcome. Do not equate age with talent.

Fresh vs Fresh. When they are Seniors one team may add 8 juniors and 3 sophomore to the mix that make them a lot better team.

Freshman football, like JV football is purely developmental. Looking at a Freshman group and assuming they will dominate for 4 years is ridiculous.

I donât think there is that much correlation between the twoâs success/failure. My freshman team went undefeated reading some great teams like Lexington Catholic and others. As seniors we were pretty solid but we didnât win state or semi state. On top of that, the worse team we had in my 4 yrs went to state. There is to many other variables involved to try to judge the two.

A class is only as good as the class before it, and the one below it.

Oh I agree with whatâs been posted. My example was the exact same players playing each other 3 years later. The outcome was completely different.

Freshman football is practice. We talking bout practice. Practice? The smart program could careless if they win the game. Its about learning.

Freshmen at small schools are getting varsity snaps if they are talented. Often the best freshmen don't play in those games

We did a bad move a few years ago, talented freshman group that was being played on varsity (many many snaps), JV, and in freshman games. I was afraid we were going to get some kids hurt badly. That does not happen anymore.

this times about 10000...... you saw it last year with belfrys seniors... they were so good but the juniors were very good too and thats what made them historically great as a team.

Lots of great points here.
The bottom line is that it can never be a bad thing if your teams are winning, regardless of which one it is (youth, middle school, freshmen, JV).
