Looking at Pike Central's roster they are all freshman and sophomores, on paper it appears they should be really good in a year or two.

Better rethink that statement. Shelby Valley is loaded with young players all the way thru middle school, Johnson Central has good groups coming, Paintsville will be tough next couple of years. thats just 3 teams off top of my head. Just done a little fact checking on coach Newsome statement

Region semi finals looks like winning to me... He didn't inherit anything at pike central but I will bet you he won't have another 12-18 season this year. He has young players which mean they are going to get better. If you're saying he can't compete in that region, you better "rethink". 15th is one of the weakest regions in the state. What was the finals score last year??? O yea, like 21-20 lol

Pike Central wasn't expected to win that many games the past two seasons. So yeah that's pretty good to win with that, not to mention the biggest girl PC has had has been like 5'6"-5'7" at best the past few years. So not only were they not very skilled, they have been competing with NO size!!! That play extremely hard.
