During tonight's (Thurs) girl's game between Hazard and Jenkins at Memorial Gym there will be a special recognition of the 1997 Lady Dawgs on the 10 year anniversary of their state championship title. In 1997 the Lady Dawgs won both the All A State Championship and the Sweet 16 State Championship.

This was a great team, I hope there's a huge crowd to welcome them back home. Anytime the mountains win the state title at anything its a good thing IMO.

I'll be there. Daughter was on that team and she was also on the 1998 ALL A State Champion Team. On three state champion teams, not bad for high school career.
