That would open it up for a lot of players, especially football, who are injured to get an extra year if that rule is changed.
Hopkins was granted another year by the khsaa.

I was told a few weeks ago the rule hadn't changed, but someone from Corbin told me yesterday that a fifth year had been granted.
I guess that will open it up for a lot of athletes around the state to play after an injury. There used to be quite a few in the 80s and 90s. We had at least two in Harlan County back then.
