Should be a good game. Harlan Independent won at Harlan County in the District match-up. Harlan County exacted some revenge in the WYMT Classic. So who do you have?

HC has finally figured out how to guard Brock and Massingale. It took about 5 games going back to last year but the win in the WYMT has shown them the way. Harlan County has won 9 in a row and is finally beginning to come together as a team. Of course, foul trouble for either Green or Gross could change the tide. But if all things are equal HC is 10 to 15 points better than Independent now.

Looks like Akal adjusted nicely to the triangle and 2. Harlan 54-43. Good atmosphere good game. Still think they will meet 2 more times before it's said and done

Akal is great coach. If the talent is close to the same he will win a lot more than he loses.

3 takeaways from the game.
1. Akal is a good coach and given time can come up with a great offense to counter the triangle and 2.
2. The triangle and 2 will work only when the non shooters on the team don't have career nights.
3. The area on the HC team where at the start of the season looked so stong and deep is now its weak point. At the beginning of the year HC had 6 guards on paper that could play. Now it is down to 3 with Becca (shoot guard) breaking her hand in the game last night. And one of those three remaining has only seen action in blowouts. Going to be interested to see how coach handles this area.
Congratulation Harlan Independent you outplayed Harlan County and deserved the win.

I like your post Bears Fan only one disagreement. The King girl who I guess is the one your talking about didn't have a career night. She's capable of having that every night!
