13th Region outlook
#31
I will say this about Cheyenne, Nevada, they would be right at the top of regions 13, 14, 15 and 16.
#32
If you think Smith and Anders are even close you are in the nicest way possible " as stupid as they come". Anything you say from here on out has zero credibility. Stats dont lie my friend and i can quote them all day.

Smith advantage clay
Farmer advantage clay
Taylor adavantage south
Wolfe and griffth push
Sexton and miller push.

And if im clay i wouldnt even think about guarding miller. Clay proved this weekend if you double and triple team smith and farmer they have the talent to beat you with the other 3.

I would absolutely agree with that. But like broken arrow said, "a loss is a loss".
Nobody in the 13th has really beaten anyone yet.

Touche! You are correct. On a side note, a couple of the other teams Clay played had some talent and size, they were, to put it mildly, not very well coached.

If you don't think Anders can make Smiths life miserable, than you daddy are the stupid one. Anders shut down Broughton twice last year as a freshman, and he is way more of a offensive threat than Smith. Anders isn't the scorer that Smith is, but can definitely make Smith struggle to score. Corbin held him to what 2-4 points, and has nobody remotely close to Anders defensively.
So I would say based on your obvious homer, biased analysis, you have 0 credibility. It's also no wonder that Corbin played Clay within 5, if they was triple teaming Blake and Trey. Hell, they was playing with 8 kids. Lol.

Double and triple teamed all night. And Anders didnt come close to shutting down smith last year , pretty sure he dropped around 25 on them, and anders did the majority of the guarding. If theres no double team or him and Farmer then they WILL NOT BE STOPPED, same goes for Taylor for south.

You are right! They did play with 8, specially the last 3 minutes of the game.

Taylor advantage south? I seen somewhere that clay had most skilled big man in the mountains. I been watching and I ain't figured out if that's big red or sugar bear.

Lol. I didn't get to see that game, but I can guarantee you're right.

That was too good to pass up,lol!

I believe the Wolfe and Grubb matchup is the x-factor between Clay and South. Wes is playing great defense right now so that could be big. I assume Robert takes his chances with South shooting like he did last year and against most teams with size. However, he does have two 6'6-7" bodies to take up minutes if they can at least slow Taylor down.

Wow!!! I think the Regions is between Clay and South for sure. Can't wait to watched Knox Central tomorrow and Clay vs Boyle County tomorrow night. :Cheerlead:Cheerlead:Cheerlead

Gonna be a great day of basketball. I'm interested in the Marsee and Taylor match up.
I think I'm gonna take KC by 4 and CC by 12.

Clay by 12 south by 10

Marsee and Taylor won't be a matchup. Knox can't play South man because Knox is so thin at the guard spot. I'd say South by 12+ and Clay by 20+. Clay playing a out of region team at home is worth 10+ points, and Boyle is basically a one man team this year.

Van Hagar Wrote:No I don't think North or Harlan are clearly better than those teams either, any matchup with them would be basically toss up games, I just give them a little edge based on their play to date.
As for why I would put Clay over South (right now), I go back to the old reliable, the eye-test. I've seen every legit region team at least once, South and Clay three times each, and so far Clay just looks a little more in sync to me. I don't argue though that South has basically every ingredient to be really, really good. But man they let inferior teams hang around too often, might bite them when it matters most.
South lets pike central and corbin hang around and its bad but clay lets bell and whitley hang around and escape the dreaded at corbin with 5 point win and thats good. I think they both have let teams hang around. gonna be fun over next few months.

South pounds KC. Clay loses to Boyle. Cards may have stepped to front.

I like Corbin at 5th, because their very dangerous. I think their, the most dangerous team in region to top tier teams. Barboursville is another team that could be dangerous at tourney time.
