Possible change to State Finals Date & Times
#1
The 2015 Russell Athletic/KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl State Football Finals are slated for Houchens Industries/L.T. Smith Stadium on the campus of Western Kentucky University the weekend of December 3-6. The tentative schedule for the event has the games scheduled as follows (All times Central):

Friday, Dec. 4th – 1A – 11 AM, 2A – 2:30 PM, 6A – 6 PM
Saturday, Dec. 5th – 3A – 11 AM, 4A – 2:30 PM, 5A – 6 PM

In the event that Western Kentucky University would earn the right to host the Conference USA Championship game the same weekend as the Russell Athletic/KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl, the schedule of games for the state football finals would have to be adjusted as follows:

*Thursday, Dec. 3rd – 1A – 7 PM
*Saturday, Dec. 5th – 6A – 5 PM, 5A – 8 PM
*Sunday, Dec. 6th – 2A – 1 PM, 3A – 4 PM, 4A – 7 PM

*The alternative schedule is subject to change as the final start time for the C-USA Championship game will be dictated by television scheduling.

Go Herd!!!!

That's good. I hope it don't change because I'm off already on Saturdays.

Definitely! But as of right now, WKU is in the position to host since they are 7-0 in C-USA. If Marshall beats WKU this Saturday, they would both be 7-1 and Marshall theoretically could host if they beat Western. The game is at WKU. The problem is there are several 6-1 teams in C-USA.

I'll be honest. I could care less when the games are played as long as our team is playing in it.

Belfry has such a great program and tradition. Its always fun to watch them.

Goodluck to the Pirates.

True, by no means I am assuming Belfry will be there, it would be nice though Smile

According to C-USA website the Championship game time is set for 11AM CT Saurday Dec. 5th. ESPN2.

Better make arrangements for the alternate schedule. This game belongs to the TOPS.
#12
WKU up 35-14 over Marshall at the half. Looks like everyone better make arrangements for next weekend that this will affect.
#13
41-14 WKU, halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Go Tops!

Football Thursday-Sunday next week. Enough said.
#14
Tops are spanking the Herd, class A Thursday night for sure

That sucks for us. It's a shame cause I'd say there will be alot of parents and fans who will not be able to attend now. All the more reason to have the games at Commonwealth or Papa Johns, or even rotate between the two
#16
WKU defeats Marshall, so the alternate schedule will now take effect.

Do whatever you need to get it out of bowling Green and in Lexington
#18
I like it in BG.

Hopefully when the agreement is up in BG they'll move it to Lexington. Makes sense because Lexington is pretty much the same distance for everyone with the exception of probably Mayfield. As it stands right now, Belfry travels the longest distance. Plus the KHSAA main offices are in Lexington as well.

I agree 100% but its going to take a bunch of money to get it moved anywhere. As much as I would love to see it in Lexington I just dont see it happening any time soon I.

C-USA and WKU has to have a prep day for their championship game I would assume.
