Well i guess it's time to prepare ourselves for another season of being Kentucky Football fans, which isn't easy as we know haha.
OOC opponents include UL Lafayette, EKU, Charlotte, and Louisville
SEC schedule includes @South Carolina, Florida, Missouri, Auburn, @Mississippi State, Tennessee, @Georgia, @Vandy
8 home games on the schedule this year could help.
Offensively we have Towles at QB, and a good group of RBs and WRs. Gotta a lot of work to do defensively. Early predictions?
I predict 6-6

4-8
Wins against UL Lafayette, EKU, Charlotte, and Vandy.
This will be the year that will determine if Stoops is a good coach, since the majority of the team will be his recruits. If UK has another 4 win season, people will be calling for Stoops' job.

I don't know why but I believe the Kentucky team this year will surprise a few people. I think we saw a few flashes last season of what might be coming. I still don't think some realize how bad things were getting with Joker and how mediocre his players were. It's not like Stoops stepped into a great job with great athletes everywhere. Kentucky has a long recent history of loosing and if people want that to change then they need to let the coach have some time to build something.

Ill go out on a limb and say 7-5.
The SEC schedule isn't that bad. I'd say UGA, SC, Miss. St, Vandy, and Mizzou are losses. Other than those not really worried. But then again we could start out 2-0 or 3-0 and just get worked. I feel better about this season than the others we've had the past 5 seasons.

Biggest issue I see is the defensive side of the ball. Last year, DL and LB's couldn't stop a middle school team from running inside. They lost the Florida game simply because of this

This is off topic, but I have 2 season tickets for sale. PM me if interested.

I will say 7-5.

5-7

5-7 Stoops seat will be getting very warm.

All we can do is hope. But all I can see is 3 Maybe 4 wins. As for as Stoops being on the hot seat it will take a big time booster to put the heat on BARNHEAD and I'm not sure we have a booster with that kind of power who cares about football. The only reason The Joke was let go was the season ticket holders left in Droves. Stoops is safe untill this happens again.

I think Kentucky will win 6 games and go bowling. :worthy:

I say 7-5. Win all four non-conference games, and win against South Carolina, Florida, and Vandy!

As a long time former season ticket holder I've seen plenty. I see wins over Lafayette EKU and Charlotte. We have a chance against Fla,at home, and Vandy on the road. We want win both. I'm hoping we split to get our 4 wins.

ESPN predicted us to go 8-4 and you gurus dont think we will win 5 games. Give me a break.

This might be the year EKU gets a victory over the Cats?

ULL is actually a good program. 4 strait 9 win seasons. Should have had a bit of an easier time beating them but they would most likely beat EKU fairly easily.

Im a HUGE EKU fan, but I don't see any way they will beat UK. There is just too big of a talent gap difference between the two programs. There is a chance EKU will have the best player on the field, but it takes a team. EKU will be playing with a lot of emotion that game. Hopefully that will make a difference and they will surprise me. Regardless, I'd rather the COLONELS get an OVC if I had to pick between a win over UK and OVC title.

I would not complain if both happened.

After watching the 1st 2 weeks of college, I can see UK going to 5-0 with the way the schedule lines up, and actually after seeing Auburn Saturday 6-0 is a real possibility. The way this year looks right now, 9 regular season wins is not out of the question. A lot of games I thought were sure fire losses before the season, are starting to become toss up games.

The first 2 weeks are making UK look even better for a bowl game. Like you, 6-0 is possible. Probably won't happen but just have to wait and see. Right now I'm looking at the delusional UF fans on their boards saying UK isn't any better than ECU that they barely beat by 7, and how UF will beat UK by 21+. It's comical actually. UK gets a couple of LB's back this week from injury and suspension, I look for them to take it to the gators and finally play a 4 quarter game. I'm going to enjoy watching that new coach for UF show his a$$ on tv again when things don't go his way
