Wayne County came out sloppy on offense turning the ball over 4 times by halftime. The defense was stout holding Casey's Varsity to 1 first down. After halftime the Cards got some of the preseason jitters out and put up 21.

Lots of growing up left for the young Cardinals, but this is a different Casey Co. The rebels have good size and speed on defense and when they get their offense clicking they will be dangerous in 3A if someone shows up expecting Casey of old.

Interesting Score. Casey was tabbed as being very good this year. Is Wayne that good or is Casey not the team everyone thought they would be ???????
If Wayne is that good, look out in that District.

That's through 3 quarters. JV played 4th.
Wayne has a lot to work on. Especially on the offensive side and taking care of the football.

Don't undersestimate Casey. They should put together a good season. Coach Marple will use this scrimmage and make the necessary changes. After a tough loss at Wayne last season they beat Metcalfe and Adair. I wouldn't sell yet on Casey.
