Volunteer to be eaten alive by anaconda
#1
Yep, you saw the title correctly. This idiot, oh I mean person, is going to film himself being eaten alive by an anaconda. More than likely, he will either be crushed to death by the snake beforehand or he will burst the snake open trying to get out, but in any event you can see it on Discovery Channel December 7th!!!!

I thought it was a joke until I read more about it today.

Love that sig!!!

This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen!
#5
I would almost bet that the animal rights people will put an end to it before it ever gets started.
The snake will die either way and I assume they'll be all over that.
#6
I read about this yesterday. The dude is INSANE!
#7
Does this guy plan on surviving this or is it a type of suicide thing?

PETA is indeed lobbying the (I think it's the Discovery Network) not to air the show.

I was looking at some threads about this on facebook and most of all the posts were about the safety of the snake.

I don't think this will end up making air.

As I figured.

Something this stupid shouldn't be on TV.
#12
He plans on surviving Westside, and FILMING the experience.

And yes, it IS Discovery. So far it's still on schedule to run.

I wonder if this is going to be done live, or if it has already been done, taped and going to air December 7th??

^
I would imagine taped.

I don't think Discovery would film it live, then the guy get killed in front of 10 years old.
What would be entertainment for us on his stupidity would probably scar a small child for life.
#14
Or perhaps teach a valuable lesson on stupidity!

Just saw the trailer from the episode..I guess that settles if it's live or taped...

Don't forget, everybody. After you watch the Colonels upset the Wildcats tonight, this awesome bit of entertainment comes on.

So far.... I've been glued to my t.v. for over an hour and a half and nobody has been eaten by an anaconda yet.

This sucked. He was in no way eaten by an andaconda. He simply put a carbon fiber suit on and let one wrap him up. This was a complete waste of time. Pathetic.

This show was worse than Geraldo Rivera when he did the big "Mystery of Al Capone's Vault"

They "searched" for about an one hour and forty minutes (of a two hour program) for this mystic anaconda.

So they finally find an anaconda big enough to swallow a human. He puts on this state-of-the-art suit with a team of experts to monitor the whole situation. The snake does latch on to him and begins to wrap around him. The snake in NO WAY gets any part of his body inside of it's mouth. The snake does try begin to bite his helmet... but he gives the emergency call when the snake applies to much pressure on one of his arms.

SO NO.... NOBODY WAS "EATEN ALIVE" and I have to say it was a terrible waste of time.

If he couldn't take the snakes constriction with the special suit on... there's no way a human could survive a large anaconda attack with out one on.

If he really wanted to be "Eaten Alive" and he is as 'dedicated' like he talked on the show... the two hour program should have showed multiple attempts of this guy by different snakes until he was 'eaten alive'.

Why advertise a show called "Eaten Alive" months before the show is supposed to air and the television higer-ups and shows producers know that nobody gets eaten by a snake.

It was about 4-5 minutes of the guy rolling around in the mud with an anaconda.... he did get wrapped up by the snake, but that was it.

I'm so glad I forgot to watch it!! LOL We didn't come back from Bowling Green until yesterday, and I was plumb tuckered out!!
#22
I didn't forget and I didn't watch it. I would have rather watched grass grow or paint dry.
#23
I watched the first hour. I thought this is going to be a big joke and turned it off. Glad I did now.

You, the Discovery Channels reviews still tout that he was "eaten alive"....swallowed by an anaconda!!

I know that sensationalism is used a lot on TV, but they shouldn't just blatantly lie!!
