Wow, way to go Rebels! Offense, defense, and special teams clicking tonight. Apparently field conditions really didn't matter. Great win.

Could not make the trip for medical reasons but according to Steve Bertram (our radio man/legend) this Knox team was as good a tackling team as we have played all year and spoke of not being able to run the ball at all the first half and that the played several young players at key positions. I said in early week discussions that if Knox turned the ball over again this week Boyle should win going away. I think exceptional special teams play set the tone and took Knox out of their game plan early then the interceptions started. If pass D could have made a couple of plays and Knox not panic with the play calling a little early could have been more competitive game. I do think the better team won but don't think Knox showed their best obviously. Good Luck next season Knox.

Congrats to Knox on a great season. First district title in almost 40 years. Don't wait so long on the next one.

Would like to congratulate the Rebels of Boyle county on their win. They aren't big, but they play as one. They believe in each other and that is apparent. As we at Knox send away our seniors and await the next class of seniors to arrive, I would like to thank these seniors for the last 4 years they have contributed. They are the first group to ever win an outright district title at Central, and the first Group to ever host a 2 round playoff game to my knowledge. These boys left an eternal mark on the Knox program and every one of them will be missed.

I really thought KC would put up a better fight. Congrats BC! It's only fitting that Lex Cath and Boyle Co will meet again. It seems like an annual event for these 2 great program. Good luck to both.

How was the field?

No disrespect to Knox, and I thought Knox put up a good fight for most of the game, but this is about what I expected.

Congrats to Boyle on a very good game. They set the tone right of the gate. Knox wasn't able to over come the 2 quick scores that Boyle put on them and it was all down hill from there. Best of luck in the next round rebels!

For Knox to get to the next level they are going to have to learn to defend the pass a lot better. The run defense was there for most of the game but they couldn't stop the pass.

^ to add to that, mental toughness is a necessity. Boyle set the tone right out of the gate and Knox has tended to Regress when things of that nature happen. The panthers must learn how to handle themselves when the given opportunities arise. Everyone at the game last night could tell that Boyle had been there before and Knox looked like a lost puppy out there.
With that being said, they are on the right track. No more are they the homecoming team.

Can the staff at KC take them to the next level?

District will be a little bit tougher next year with Wayne Co. being added to the mix. Knox is losing a lot of linemen and explosive play maker of Barger, but return a lot of skill players and Qb Stewart. Next year will be a great year of football in Knox County!!

^^
They want lose as many as you think. They only will lose 2 starting o-linemen in sprinkles and castle and 2 starters on d-line in Hinkel and lockard. The line will be their strong point next year again. You have to remember they are only going to lose 11 total and of those only 5 where starters.
