What teams that dont get alot of recogniztion, do you think can do something this season?

Watch out for the Lady Dawgs of Lawrence Co. With a new Coach and a new outlook on things they will be in every game this year and very well could compete for the District title.

I agree with you 100% Batpuff. The Lady Dawgs are gonna be as tough as nails this season. They say they are working so hard and coach Holbrook is doing a wonderful job with them, the girls have so much confidence in themselves this year.I too say they may be district bound.

As much as I would love to see the Dawgs get threw districts they still have to get past a experienced MC team and JC team... Im not saying this couldn't happen but It would definately be a shock if it did.

Frazier is a great player but don't under estimate the other girls, they have some young talent on this team who are not seniors that really haven't had the opportunity to shine on this team, partly due some to the past coaching situation and some to politics some to the girls just not giving it their all because they lost all HEART. Give them a few warm ups maybe they won't start out on fire (but I'm bettin they will) but I know these girls have what it takes. They also got a great coach to help pick them up, give them a pat on the shoulder and send them back out on the hardwood to do what they should of been doing the past 5 years.:thumpsup: GO LADY Dawgs

They have been working hard, but I sense some unhappiness in the ranks. Is the coach really not keeping freshman on his Varsity even though they played last year?

He has freshman on varsity and I'm sure he'll add more before season starts he's not got a huge team and I think he's just being cautious cause he also wants a jv team and freshman team also. He really belives in declipline and respect and that gets some of the girls in trouble-- some run their mouths too much..lol

I know they got the girl in the middle. Shes a good all around player and quick for her size too. What grade is she in? I remember her from summer camp at Pikeville i do believe. Nice solid player. She helps Phelps out alot.

i think P-burg is going to shock a lot of people this in the 15th region...they have a lot of expierence coming back and 4 starters....p-brug is def. gonna be a contender in the region

I agree with your comment on some of them running their mouths..lol... I love the fact Coach Holbrook makes them earn their spot on varsity, keeps them from getting lazy and taking things for granted. I haven't heard anything negative from any of the girls so far, most seem really happy about how things are being run. Keep working hard girls and prove to everyone what you can do!!!!:redboxer:
