Beechwood 42 - Franklin Co. 13
#1
Final.
#2
Another big win for small school. 1a had a great night.
#3
Beechwood made a statement .

Now burg fans, are the Tigers justified in a top 5 ranking? Please!!!! I tried to tell yall, this is what they do. I just wish they were on the eat side. I really hate the 5 hours drive the day after Thanksgiving. I do like playing a tradition rich program like the Tigers though. The games are always intense and respectful.
#5
Would love to see Beechwood back to dominance.
#6
Beechwood has moved to front of line in their district.
#7
Burg fans have not challenged Beechwood being in top five. Is the self proclaimed king of high school football trying to stir trouble where none exists?

Front of the line in their district? When was the last time Beechwood didn't win their district? Has to be prior to 2007 when NewCath was there.

If you meant region, I agree.

District is a given. E, now to your response, I am certain they were just saying the Tigers were too weak. I will flip back through the threads and be back with you shortly, with a long list.

E, this is just a sample of what I found. I can't write much more due to injury. Therefore, this will have to do.

In the thread titled "how would you rank 1a? (week 3)

As of right now
1)Mayfield
2) Frankfort
3) Williamsburg
4) Pikevlle
5) Beechwood
6) Raceland
7) Russellville
8) Hazard
9) Campbellsville
10) Paintsville

And yes I think Pikeville is very worthy of the 4 spot because they have 3 solid wins. Beechwood has been down since the end of 2011 and tradition alone has carried them along. Yes they are Beechwood but not the powerhouse they have been, but above average team just like everyone else except Mayfield. Beechwood is 0-2 they compete fairly well against the Ohio school in their first game and was dominated in their second game by Dixie. It tells me they have quiet a ways to go to be in top 3 where they will be ranked.

Here I go again agreeing with BAC2369.

In there next 4 games 2 of those should be wins and the other 2 are toss ups. So if they win those 2 and lose the Franklin Co and Cov Cath games then I expect Beechwood to win out and finish regular season at 6-4. We also should get a fair assessment since Franklin Co plays Beechwood and Frankfort in back to back weeks.

he listed his top 10 and listed Beechwood at 10 and then this followed:
A whole lot of teams passed up Beechwood over the past few years. The name alone won't help them this year. Williamsburg has done a lot and I feel like have passed up or possibly even with Mayfield. Holy Cross is going to surprise some people and Pikevill will most likely lose only 1 game this year. Teams should really fear Raceland watching how they played Ashland. They could upset anyone. I added Beechwood but I'm not sure they are even worthy of #10? Coming off and 8-5 season when everyone on the list except Holy Cross is coming off double digit wins.

If you really believe that then you need to get out and watch more football. Every team on this list finished ahead of Beechwood last year. Not just on their record but in the playoffs too. Holy Cross got to the same round and probably would've advanced if not for Mayfield. I know its hard to swallow but Beechwood is at the end of this list and all it takes is a sleeper team to pop up and they could be completely out of the top 10? I don't like it either but its just how it is. Beechwood is no longer feared. They used to be feared. They used to be feared by several 6a programs as well, but if they don't decide to do something quick their going to turn into a homecoming or senior night team.
There's definitely a "rash" going around Beechwood everybody be careful. Hahahaha sorry bad joke.

I thought Beechwood would win but I never thought they would blow them out! Congrats to the Tigers on the win!
#12
Being that I haven't seen either team this year, I thought FC would win. I was basing it upon the Beechwood fan base ditching them and speaking out about how lack luster they had been. I thought that FC being a 5a school with an unblemished record and a high lit rating made them the tougher of the 2.
