Yea, 89' was my thought too..I was wondering if anyone remembered that team.

That is pretty sad that it has been 25 years since prestonsburg had a good b-ball team. As many good football teams as they have had over the years, basketball should be more successful.

do you know who they beat in the region finals and who beat them in the state tournament?

No, night right off. I remember most of the guys. I was playing 8th grade at Auxier when the won region..I played with a couple of them the next year at Prestonsburg.

they beat McDowell in the finals that year and lost to North Hopkins High School (Travis Ford's team)

Thanks, I couldnt remember..I was thinking about Mcdowell but wasn't sure at all..I had completely forgot it was Travis Fords team that knocked them out..
