Cole Mosely, Dylan Simpkins, Morgan O'Brian were very impressive. Simpkins seems to have finally figured out he cannot run laterally and turned up field much sooner. Kiser very sharp at Qb. Lineman Mike Johnson has surprising speed. The tight end Shafer is a beast and very quick, making multiple blocks on each play. On defense Devon Perry was very impressive. Put him and Shafer as inside LB's and it is a long night for opposing running backs. Barring injury and the defense making plays, this could be an extremely good year for LC. They have the offensive tools to compete. Time will tell on the defense. Lot of secondary not reacting. But in fairness some of the best defensive players were on offense. There also seemed to be some confusion on defensive sets and substitutions but might be lack of reps. There was no confusion on offense. They were on a mission and executed it very well. Boyd may be going to a spread but the LC ground game will chew up massive amounts of clock. They also are very well conditioned as they were on the field for over 2 hours and not a water bottle in sight. No coolers, fans, misters, squirt bottles, etc. but they did not let up or cramp up.
This is probably because of all the cramping and injuries they have had the last few years. I think they made it a point to not have those problems again this year. Like I have said for a month or more I am very excited about this team this year. I been going to some practices and I could see all the speed and talent and I think this may be the best team we have had since 2009.

I predicted in the Belfry 2014 thread that we had the receiver talent this year to go 3 or even 4 wide some this year and I saw that very thing in the scrimmage last night. This might be the most balanced (run and pass) team the Dawg's have had since the late 90's I think coach Short is smart enough and loves the pass game to much to not pull the trigger on some things when he can see the talent and opportunity. The funny thing is our run game will still be our strongest point and our run game will be better then last year. I am very excited about this team!:redboxer:

I don't know about you, but were you as shocked as me at how much bigger our lines are this year compared to last year? Where the heck did this line come from?

Where the heck did this line come from?Yep they have beefed up in the off season. Ratliff could rival his uncle Phil if he puts his heart and soul into it. Johnson and Ross need to play every play 100%.

I have a funny feeling that a lot of teams are overlooking and underestimating this Bulldog team this year...............................................
.....and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I would love to see Lawrence County back to where it once was. I would also love to see them and Johnson Central back playing again. Best of luck to the dawgs this year.

:worthy:
A Daylin Beach-less Raceland over looked LC last year. And took a close loss at home on homecoming night. Dont expect the Rams to over look them again. With that said, the teams moved in totally different directions after that game. Hope to see another great Raceland/LC battle this year in Louisa. Glad to hear things are looking good in Dawg Country. See you all mid-season!

Good friend took some pics for purchase of the scrimmage. Most are of Russell but if you couldn't make it at least you can get the feel of it by scrolling thru the action.

So I hear that we are bringing back the red uniforms like we had in the 90's, red pants and jerseys. I always liked the away uniforms we had with the red pants, white jerseys and black helmet. I will try to find some pictures. [Image: http://static.hudl.com/users/prod/276017...ce9b18.jpg]

I have read pretty much all the post on here. The one thing that really gets under my skin is how you can put down the coaching staff and how they dont try and get kids out of the hallways or have anything to do with the feeder program...Mr Preston who is the league President is always talking with Coach, Coach also puts alot of time in with these kids and young men not only about football, he also shares his faith with them and teaches them how to be young men.
Its not always going to go as you would like, somethings are just out of your control. example they tried to get the practice field enlarged so that they could have two fields regulation side by side, at no cost to the school system other then moving the fence out to make room, yes they owned the other side of the fence, they had already had the equipment and man power donated from the county and school refused to let them...unreal to let free work and labor pass you by when they claim to always be broke. Anyways I guess I just wanted to vent. Still unreal how so many people want to see a program they claim to support fail.
Anyways I thought I would share this video with everyone.
