Lets not turn this into a transfer battle ground. I just know there has been seemingly more movement in the coaching ranks as well as player changes. Who in your are is new or gone? In our area, coaching notables are Maynard to the HC job at Russell and Fred Ray taking over at Fairview. Belcher to Paintsville from Johnson Central is the most relevant change in our area from a player stand point. Whats new across the rest of the state?

There are some big ones:
-Belfry has a pair of notable transfers.
JR HB/DB Deonte Joplin was a 1000 yard rusher at Mingo Central
SOPH QB/WR/KR/DB Noah Corbett will certainly help Belfry's depth after transferring from Logan, WV where he started some at QB as a Freshman
-Soph HB Jordan Doan transferred from Somerset to Southwestern. Larry French moves from the HC at Boyle County to the HC at Southwestern
-The biggest news is living legend Chuck Smith returning to be the HC at Boyle County
- Garrard County HC Mark Scenters is the new HC at Madison Central
- WR Jenson Feggins has transferred from Highlands to Warren Central to follow his father who is the new HC
- Warren Central's former Head Coach Mike Rogers will now be leading Paducah Tilghman
- Perry Central's HC Justin Haddix has taken his talents to Corbin, PCC replaced him with Jordan Amis..the youngest coach in KY HS History
- Pike Central's Top Linemen Bryson Patton has transferred to Pikeville

Wow. I hadnt heard about Patton's transfer. That certainly helps Pikeville out. Hard to believe so many changes have occured over the last few months.

Those are just the headliners in terms of coaching moves..never have I seen an off-season like this one for coaching shake up.

I know. In NEKY alone there's been two major coaching changes and countless position and OC/DC changes. Fairview, Raceland, and Russell, all will have a new HC this year. IDK the last time thats happened. Ray Graham took over somewhere near us as well, Rowan or Flemmig maybe? Either way thats 4.

Fred Massey RB from 5A powerhouse Harlan county to 1A Williamsburg. Fred massey rush for 1,186yds for an avg of 99yds a game. score 10 Td and ( 8) 2pts conversions. also had 62 tackles as LB. This will help with the lost of QB Dalton Sizemore. Williiamsburg will be marching back to Bowling Green with a new drum beat.

If Wburg has a capable dual threat qb they r stupid to put Griffith at QB. Keep him at WR where he has the most experience.

Griffith will be the dual threat QB. He played some in the hazard game last year...I say Massey becomes the running back and Patrick goes to wide out or they may switch them in and out.. But Williamsburg needs a solid running game if they are going to win it all.. You got to have both otherwise you will not beat a Mayfield....

Griffith will be the starting QB. Massey will play some At QB. Patrick want be playing wideout...This team will be a triple dual threat this year with Patterson getting playing time at QB it can happen an will. Williamsburg has a nice problem.....Just saying BGR fans. :Cheerlead

Damien Belcher will rush for 2500 yards if Paintsville has even a solid o-line.
06-24-2014, 05:56 PM
Paintsville have had that kind of rushing numbers in the past. It still didnt result in winning. If Paintsville wants to atleast win a district championship they are goina need balance and defense. Chirico has the ball rolling and the kids believing. If they keep adopting kids like Belcher coupled with that mentality, they will become a real issue for the likes of Pikeville and Raceland.

NO ONE understands how big of a get that is, if true. Fannin is one of the best sophomore players if not the best that this state can offer...
