Newport Central Catholicâs boysâ basketball handed visiting Brossart its second straight loss, 64-44, Friday night.
NewCath (22-3), ranked No. 1 in The Enquirer Northern Kentucky coachesâ poll, has now won 11 straight games.
The Thoroughbreds were led by junior guard Zach Pangalloâs game-high 20 points and eight assists.
Junior center Drew McDonald added 19 points for NewCath.
Brossart (19-3), ranked No. 5, had two players in double figures, led by senior center Drew Burnsâ 19 points.
