East Carter is pesky. This game was Closer than the score with Russell only winning 14-10 late in the. 3rd and East had the ball

For Russell a couple of kids didn't play but for the love of all that is good in the world field an on side kick. Special teams kept East in it.

It's hard to tell how good Russell is. Every team they have beaten is atrocious.

They are very average. They have beaten the teams they should beat but failed to win the games they had chances in against the better teams on their schedule.

Pa guy is Mark Cole. As for the game another pitiful display on both sides of the ball. The only good thing you can say is Russell won. East had over 300 yards rushing and they even threw the ball 30 times. they were pushing the line all over the place. So what was Smiths move to help the run defense, bring in a 160 lb running back to play nose. East woul have been better served to have rushed the ball for about 3/4 of those pass plays. Every time they moved it down field they stopped themselves by going to a pass play. And the offense is almost unwatchable. I know they won, but the line play was bad. It shows against better teams. If Russell didn't have such a good running qb they wouldn't have moved the ball, he had over 100 yds. people get fooled by the score of these games against terrible teams, but if you know what your looking for you know what im talking about

East had 188 yards rushing.

64 of which came on the TD with 2:00 to go after Russell went up 42-14. and started putting the JV in.

thanks fball. I was hoping I had heard wrong and my dander was up for nothing. still though the offense struggled even though a lot of points was on the board, if you saw the game you know what I mean. I know its been beat to death, but you cant run the same 6-8 plays the whole game unless you have the studs up front to execute, and Russell dosent. they had to rely on the qb keeper to bail them ouy way too many times. That wont work against a better team, weve seen that this year

East is a pesky bunch. They were determined to take Conley and did. But when they sold out on that it left the bootleg open.

Not the best game and no Russell doesn't have a dominating line. It doesn't help with Arnold and VanDeren not playing but they got the win and it was really never in doubt.

If you want to be mad over something be mad over the special teams. Not only did they give up two on side kicks but East Carter had to do one over because of an off sides penalty and got it again the second time.
