Paducah Tilghman @ Graves County 9-13-13

The Tornado come calling at Eagles stadium Friday. The Eagles beat PT last year in this annual game. Last year PT seemed to have a lot of discipline issues and it ended up costing them in the end.

Graves comes into this one at 2-0. PT comes in at 1-2. Graves feels they are good enough this year to win their crosstown battle of the birds against Mayfield. They would like to use this game as a spring board.

What are your thoughts on this one?

Graves in a very good game by 3. This will be one of the best games in Kentucky this weekend.

Graves has cracked the top polls in 5a at 10 this week. PT has dropped to #6 in 3a.

PT has two fundamental problems.

1) A porous defense that has been unable to stop the run (or the pass).

2) Offensive plays called under the assumption the preseason air raid predictions will materialize if they throw it enough. It hasn't worked yet. Could be time to rely more on the running backs they have even tho the o-line is small.

Tre Coleman (400lb bench) will return at FB and LB this week after a two week DQ hiatus.

Tilghman essentially handed the game to Graves last year. Lets hope they are less generous Friday.

Tica, that was an under statement. PT played so bad last year against the Eagles that I think our middle school team could have won that one.

64, If Graves wins by more than 7 I will by you dinner after the big state championship game where you finally come to watch the Cards play. You will be rooting for us this year as well. I could see PT winning like that though. I hope you are right and I am wrong. It would bode well for our county to have two great teams playing here this year again. Between the two of our teams last year we were 23-4. Not bad huh.
