Senior G earned Week 10 POW honors after breaking the Ironton career scoring record when he scored 37 points in an 84-56 win over Spring Valley (W.V.) to give him 1,598. The old record of 1,596 was held by Dennis Gagai. Carter hit 20-of-24 free throws against SV. Carter ended the regular season averaging 24 points, five rebounds, four aissts and 3.2 steals. His high-game was 44 points. After losing in the regional finals last year, Carter helped the Tigers (scored 34 in the regional final this season) reach the Division III statetournament for the third time in history and first time since 2005. Ironton lost to state champ Ottawa-Glandorf in OT.
