IRONTON Megan Hensley pitched a two-hit shutout and also enjoyed a big game at the plate as the Kittens romped past Ironton.

Hensley finished with 12 strikeouts in six innings. Offensively, she went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs.

Ashland (12-5) racked up 15 hits overall. Megan Griffith and Sydney Whitt each doubled as part of 3-for-4 performances. They also drove in two runs and scored twice apiece.

Hayley Kilburn added two hits, including a double, and knocked in two runs. She left the game with a high ankle sprain.

Sydney Cullop also contributed two hits for the Kittens, who scored four runs in the first, second and sixth innings.

Ashland travels to West Viginia on Saturday for a doubleheader against Wheeling Park and host Lincoln County.
