[Panther Thunder]

The Panthers went on the road to take on the Pioneers in an attempt to get back to Louisville for the 4th time in 5 seasons. Led by some good special teams and defense early, Pikeville stormed to a large 1st quarter lead and never looked back.

Pikeville had so many weapons during the 91 season with JP Blair, Darrell Ratliff, Danny Estep, DeAnthony Honaker, the Lockhart twins, and others, that they should have won the championship. But, they ran into Brandon Burger and Beechwood in Louisville to end the Panthers quest for another champ. trophy. Burger by the way appeared almost unstoppable during the game. This would be the start to Beechwood's long run of championship wins.
One note to make: Tedrick Evangalista,imo, was one of the quickest running backs I've ever seen. Had such a quick first step and burst of speed, with shifty moves.
