Does this prove that in the near future a 16 seed will win over a 1 seed? Or, is Gonzaga seeded to high?

Possibility of both, there's a lot of parity in college basketball these days. Just takes one team having a good day and another one having a not-so-good day (see: New Mexico last night).

A #1 seed gets tested EVERY year.
The Zags will have their hands full on Saturday with the Shockers. I don't know if they will get past them but they will match up a lot better with them than they did Southern.
Southern has an athlete at every position and Gonzaga will always struggle with that.

Glad to see Gonzaga posted the win in this one, even if they did not play as well as they could have.
