The Kittens lost a tough one to a good Franklin Co. team. The Kittens busted out of the gates to take an early 8-0 lead causing a early time out by Franklin Co. When it looked like the Kittens were going blow the game open the refs decided they were going to get in the game. They controlled the game from that point on to the tune of 37 free throws for Franklin Co. to 17 for Ashland.
In a 3 point loss, I would say that would make a heck of a advantage. At one point in the game a Franklin Co. player literally wrestled an Ashland player to the ground 3ft in front of a ref and no call. How can everyone in the gym see it but not a guy 3ft a way. It simply amazes me:HitWall:
I'm really impressed with how hard they fought through the adversity to almost tie it on a 3 that came up just short at the buzzer. There is no quit in this team and they will learn from it and it will make them better.
The Kittens are a very good basketball Team!!!

These are definitely games that players can learn from. Adversity only makes good teams better. I'm not one to believe in any "good" losses, but the character of a team can be seen on how a team handles losses. I believe that that this team will bounce-back and fight even harder in future games. This has been a great tourney for Ashland as they soon begin their 16th region schedule.

The Ref's never win or lose games only the teams on the floor can do that!

^^^ Refs can have huge impact on the outcome of games.

With the way officiating has been this year it could effect alot of games. Very inconsistant with alot of fouls effecting teams from even playing D-fence. From what I heard was the case during this game, as well as some others.
